On this page we will describe my background and philosophy.

Dan Tremblay - Lead & Guitars & Vocals
  Dan is from New Bedford, Mass., and has been paying guitar for about 20 years. His natural style of playing gravitates directly toward the Southern Rock genre, although he can play many different types of styles. He easily plays between the Jimmy Buffet style, and then moves towards the Eagles and the Molly Hatchet genre's, and then can move again to the Waylon Jennings style. Dan lived in Florida for 20 years and moved back here to the great white north three years ago. While in Florida, he had the opportunity to meet the Molly Hatchet Band, Arlo Guthrie, The Artimus Pyle Band, (original drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd), Kings X, The Edgar Winter Group, Michael McDonald, Pam Tillis, and Colin Young amoung others. He is originally from Fairhaven, Mass.

Welcome to my web site!

  I'm Dan Tremblay, and Welcome to my Music World. I live in New Bedford, Mass., and have been playing music since I was 10 years old. I don't profess to be a professional musician, but I love what I do with music and I do the very best that I can with it. I can play many instruments, but guitar is my instrument of choice. I can play some drums, bass guitar, and keyboards (barely).  For the better part of 20 some odd years, I've been playing in cover bands and have had the time of my life. I've met some really great people along the way and I know that I'll get to meet many more as the years go by. My heart is in the Southern Rock genre, but I love alll kinds of music.
  In February 2006, I began writing my own music and learning the recording, mixing and mastering process. In March, I published my first songs, Slow Dance and High Road Song. Both can be heard on my myspace page at http://myspace.com/hatchmannmusic  . Until only recently, I had never attempted to write my own music, and found that had a unique ability to write more than I thought I was actually able to write. So with this new found ability, I'm beginning a new direction in the music world and creating my own sound and music. It's my hope that I'll be able to keep coming up with newer and better music all the time as I learn more and more about the recording process and refine my abilities in that area.
  I also hope that anyone reading this site will find themselves drawn into the music and follow me in this new direction.
  In my recordings, I play all of the instruments and all of the musical parts myself, which are layered in tracks and mixed down into an mp3. The drums are the only proccessed instument, but those tracks are built individually to each song in an excrutiating editing process. But the finished result is as close to live as possible, which will improve further with time and experience.
  Over the years, I was always into the huge half stack amps and big equipment for stage shows and live performances. But with the newer electronic age, none of this is necessary anymore to complete a great project. But I still have my half stack, I'm a die hard for the old style equipment.
  So Welcome to my Music World and I hope that you enjoy the music, and anyone is invited to share the ride.
Sincerely;
Dan

All of my music and this web page is dedicated to my dear mother who passed away on January 16, 2004. She gave me the music and cracked the whip to keep me learning and studying while I was young. I will never be able to thank her enough for her tenacity in keeping me at it. My Dad gave me just as much of the music as well. He still has his original Fender electric that he bought in 1955.
Without knowing it, he taught me how to play guitar years before I actually began playing it myself. Parents always seem to have such cool tricks to play on us. And we never loose them.
Thank You Mom and Dad for the Music !!! It's a lifetime deal...

Listening to music soothes the soul. Playing music sets it free.
